Artist Biography
Art is for me a source of knowledge, of criticism and debate, as well as a tool that allows the outgrowing of a person or a group. My particular intention is to encourage the spectator to meditate about certain essential aspects regarding human existence, particularly THE DESIRE.
New technologies, such as digital photography and digital photo-image manipulation, among many others, allow infinite options not only of art making, but related to their own diffusion, to emerge. They are constantly evolving, and that’s why my art includes different means of creation, which include: painting, drawing, collage, digital manipulation, photography, etc.
I spend part of my day observing other artists works. Media today permits access to millions of works executed by people belonging to different cultures and time lines.
This clash, affecting not only culture but also art, forms part of my influence, which results in a complex compound of works always looking for an introspective reflection.
Artist Statement
I was born in Mexico in the year of 1968. I studied Industrial Pharmaceutics at the IPN (Instituto Politecnico Nacional), tough my professional life has developed around logistics in the national pharmaceutics field.
The necessity of transforming my minds imagery into a graphic expression has always been a concern of mine, which developed in a hobby that has lasted since today.
I was initially attracted to oil painting and pencil drawing, but my earliest approach to art has been a self thought of digital photography and image manipulation. It was until 4 years ago that I started a serious production and diffusion of my work.
I am member and administrator of “The Surreal Arts” in DeviantArt.
I’ve also edited nEgoist Editorial books. I have also published art works in magazines such as Scalped, and e.zines as Press 1.
I am an active member of Visionary Art Tribe, Abnormals.org, INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION 2010 SURREALISM, and are currently exhibiting works in Berlin (Abnormals Gallery) and New York (MOCA)
