Artist Biography
Born in Cancun, Mexico in 1984, currently based in Chihuahua. An architecture student in the ISAD (Instituto Superior de Arquitectura y Diseno). I've always had a fascination with the arts (my first word was blue) but it has never struck me to take a course or go to an art school, what know I’ve learned due to practice.
Since 1997 I have participated in competitions, exhibitions and urban interventions. I never stop with a technique, I am in constant search of my own, some strange mixture of acquired knowledge in each one of my experiments.
Currently experimenting with, photography, drawing, painting (acrylic, watercolor, oil), sculpture and digital media, both 3D and 2D.
I started in the digital arts mainly out of necessity to make good presentations of my work in architecture, then I was awestruck with Worth1000 galleries and an interest arose in developing a job beyond a composition for a sheet of architectural representation.
Artist Statement
Trying to understand art is simply trying to feed the ego so you can have a topic of conversation in a coffee house table in front of another pseudo-intellectual or someone you want to acknowledge that you know a lot about art.
Art should not be understood with the entrails, not the brain.
When a composition is full of symbolism objects to "make it interesting" it looses the first emotional drive to become some kind of graphic literature or manifest of a personal cosmoview.
Art shouldn’t be understood, it must be felt.
One should adjust the mental controls to see things in 7 dimensions, North, South, East, West, Up, Down, and at the point where you are, that will trace a specific representation map of each work, as well as a unique visual impact interpretation of what you get.
